A 24′ x 40′ timber frame barn with a 11.04kW photovoltaic system on the roof. And the government will pay 30% of the cost of the frame of the barn because it is considered the “mounting system” for the panels!
A prototype of this solar barn was installed (April 2011) at 101 Sullivan Drive, Westminster West VT where the power generated by the panels powers Lisa Nash, DC’s chiropractic office. This installation was featured in the Brattleboro Reformer in an article about REAP Grant recipients.
